1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service form the agreement between you and the Vena platform, operated by Vena Sağlık Teknolojileri Ltd. Şti.. By creating an account or using the platform you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the platform.

2. What the Service Is

Vena is a matching and information platform that connects voluntary blood donors with the urgent blood needs of healthcare institutions. Vena does not organise donations and does not collect, store or transport blood; donation always takes place at licensed healthcare facilities.

The platform is currently in early access. Features may change, be limited or be removed without prior notice.

3. Medical Disclaimer

IN AN EMERGENCY, CALL 112. Vena is not an emergency line and provides no emergency response.

Donation eligibility, cooldown periods, laboratory summaries and Vena AI assistant answers shown in the platform are for information only and are not medical diagnosis, treatment or advice. The final decision on whether you may donate rests with the medical staff at the donation centre. Always consult your physician about your health.

Values extracted from laboratory reports you upload are read automatically and may contain errors. Do not rely on them alone for a medical decision.

4. Eligibility and Your Account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to register as a donor.
  • You are responsible for keeping the information you provide (blood type, date of birth, weight, donation history, contact details) accurate and current. Incorrect data leads to wrong matches and unnecessary urgent calls.
  • You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity carried out through your account.
  • One person may hold only one donor account.
  • During early access, registration may require a valid activation code.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the platform you agree not to:

  • Impersonate another person or enter false health information
  • Collect, copy or share other users' personal data with third parties
  • Use the platform to trade or sell blood or blood products, or to obtain any benefit in return for them
  • Create false urgent requests or spread misleading notifications
  • Extract data with automated tools (bots, scrapers), or probe or attempt to bypass the security of the system
  • Act in a way that disrupts or overloads the service
  • Engage in any activity contrary to applicable law

Supplying blood or blood products in exchange for consideration is prohibited in Türkiye. Any such use results in immediate account closure.

6. Healthcare Institution Accounts

Hospital accounts are opened only for licensed healthcare institutions and the staff they authorise. Hospital users are responsible for the accuracy of the urgent requests they create, for using donor data solely for the donation process, and for their own regulatory obligations. Using donor data for marketing or any non-donation purpose is prohibited.

7. Content and Intellectual Property

The platform's software, design, brand and content belong to Vena and are protected by copyright. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the platform in accordance with these terms.

Content you upload (profile photo, laboratory reports) remains yours. You grant us a limited permission to process that content solely to provide the service to you.

8. Availability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. Service may pause temporarily for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vena is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the platform, from a match not occurring, from an urgent request going unanswered, from third-party provider outages, or from inaccurate information entered by users.

This limitation does not affect liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor any non-waivable consumer rights.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by writing to info@vena.health. We may suspend or close your account if these terms are breached, if the platform is misused, or if the safety of other users is put at risk.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we update the effective date and show a notice in the app. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law and Contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul have jurisdiction; consumers retain the right to apply to the consumer arbitration committees and courts of their own place of residence.
